RV Life Reviews
John S writes, May 2025 5/5 stars: My space was very spacious and noticed that there was even a second sewer hookup further back. They even had a live band with free hotdogs, chips and water. We camped at Point of Rocks RV Campground in a Motorhome.
Mary writes, May 2025 5/5 stars: This was a super nice place to stay. The campsites were pretty private. Full hookup and everything worked great. Lots to do around the area. Beautiful short walk to Watson Lake. Highly recommend this RV park. We camped at Point of Rocks RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.
T writes, May 2025 5/5 stars: Located amount amazing rich formations. Very clean, organized and well run campsite. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Point of Rocks RV Campground in a Motorhome.
Bazinet writes, May 2025 5/5 stars: We enjoyed our stay. In a nice location among the trees, which makes you feel that you are really camping. Very quiet. You absolutely have to view Lake Watson!! It's a tad expensive. We will be going back. E ont thing we dod not like is that they turned off their internet post 9pm. That really sucked. We camped at Point of Rocks RV Campground in a Motorhome.
HappyCampers227 writes, April 2025 5/5 stars: Point of Rocks RV Campground in Prescott is a true hidden gem, nestled among the breathtaking granite rock formations of the Granite Dells. A private trail winds directly through the Dells, leading to the scenic shores of Watson Lakean unforgettable experience. Located just minutes from historic downtown Prescott, the campground offers a peaceful, nature-filled retreat with all the convenience of nearby shops and attractions. The RV sites are clean and well-kept, the staff is warm and welcoming, and the setting is nothing short of serene. Whether youre hiking, biking, kayaking, or simply enjoying the incredible views, Point of Rocks is a must-visit destination for RV travelers. Simply put, this is Prescotts best RV campground. We camped at Point of Rocks RV Campground in a Tent Trailer

Dave Nash writes, December 2024 4/5 stars; The CG is cool if you're in the sites labeled #50 to #86 (up the hill and in the back). The front spots are nothing special with not much "rocks" view. Small CG store up front and the bathrooms were clean and heated which was awesome in December. Gravel spots with the water spicket covered so as not to freeze up during winter which was a great idea. These 37 sites in the back were surrounded by big rock piles a la Joshua Tree National Park in California. There is Watson Lake on the other side of these rock piles and a cool hike around parts of the lake. Liked the vibe here a lot, plus the town of Prescott (make sure to pronounce it "Presscut") was pretty cool to visit. There is a wild peacock we named "Birdie" that roamed sites 57-61 every day, all day. He or she was quite brave when it came to people that's for sure. We camped at Point of Rocks RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.
Kristen & Jeff writes, November 2024 5/5 stars: We loved it here! Bathrooms were not only clean but they were heated, too! Laundry was clean and affordable. Staff was great. Some sites seemed a little close (like their sewer hook up was right next to my picnic table) but overall, a great place to stay. You can bike or walk to Watson Lake where even more trails can be accessed (like to the Granite Dells). This campground is also very close to downtown Prescott restaurants or to restaurants or stores in Prescott Valley. We camped at Point of Rocks RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Ari writes, June 2025, 5/5 stars: My husband and I stayed here over the winter and hands down, this is the best park in the state of Arizona! This will forever be our home away from home when we come through the West. Even over the phone, everyone in the office was happy to help and answer questions and even helped us pick out a site we liked before we arrived. Once we did, Jason, the office manager, was incredibly kind and even went out of his way on multiple occasions to help us with extending our stay and giving recommendations for the area and our future travels. We had to move sites at one point for a last minute extension and Jason made it a point to help us try and keep our site, helping me check literally every day to see if we could make it work. He made sure we felt comfortable coming to the office with anything we needed.
The park itself had beautiful, spacious sites, where each one gives you your own bit of privacy from neighbors and enough room to actually enjoy being outside. The laundry is always impeccably clean and is only $1 per load! They even have a hiking trail and scenic overlook at the back of the park you can take and enjoy views of the lake. The park is only about 10 minutes outside downtown Prescott. We had easy access to the gym, grocery stores, and downtown, which had plenty to do and lots of great little restaurants. Prescott is home to Whiskey Row, an awesome historic district with one of the oldest saloons in the country, which was an awesome visit. There was a lot to explore and we didn’t even get to see it all. There is plenty of hiking as well, so there is enough for everyone to enjoy whether you want to get out and explore or hang out at the park.
A huge thanks again to Jason for everything he did to help during our stay! This will be our first stop through Arizona from now on and we can’t wait to come back and stay again!
Steve C writes, May 2025 5/5 stars: Nice park, but nice campfires . We had to bust out the propane firepit. Lots of rules clearly posted everywhere, but it keeps things in check and rifraft out. Nice hiking trail with great lake views.
Gaby F writes, April 2025 5/5 stars: Great place to stay!! Walking distance to great hikes around Watson lake and Willow lake. Our site was on the hill with great views. Like many of the RV places, the sites are very close to each other, so we've learned thats the norm in some RV PARKS.
Brian KJ writes, April 2025 5/5 stars: Amazing campground with so much to explore and do for everyone! It was quiet and convenient to all of Prescott and Prescott Valley. Unfortunately it snowed while we were there so it kept us inside a bit more than usual but when the sun came out, the kids couldn't stop exploring and climbing. Don't get me wrong, it was absolutely amazing even with a little snow it just made it a bit too cold to sit out and enjoy the night air. We were visiting from California so my only complaint was that it was so far from home - only because it would absolutely be one of our go to regular spots for a weekend trip if not so far. We will definitely stay here again if we are ever in the area!
Monica writes, March 2025 5/5 stars; Magnificent! Beautiful trails right out the door! We rode our e-bikes through the rocks on smooth paths. Right next to the park which is so scenic. Can kayak as well in warmer weather.
Tothetrailsandbeyond writes on Google Reviews, March 2025 5/5 stars; We had a great time camping at Point of Rocks. Our campsite was nice. The trail to Watson Lake right off the campsite was very nice and super convenient. The lake is beautiful! It reminds me of the Alabama Hills with water! So pretty! We had a Bald Egale flying over our heads too! The grounds keeper, Rich was super sweet and very helpful. The bathroom , though a bit on the older side were very clean and warm. The water pressure and temp in the shower was perfect! Thank you!!
Mike Scott writes, January 2025 4/5 stars; Thank you for staying with us, Mike. It looks like you had a great time. Hopefully you got to hike through the Granite Dells or rent a kayak on Watson Lake. Looking forward to your next visit!
Rick W. writes, November 2024 5/5 stars; Spent 4 nights here in November 2024. Grounds are very well maintained. Sites are varied in size - plenty of pull throughs for larger rigs. Owner/operators were on site and were friendly and helpful. We came to Prescott to mountain bike and this park was an easy 15-20 minute drive to most trailheads. Ideal for us. Definitely recommend and I’d stay here again.

CampSpot Reviewer, November 2024 (5/5 stars): Check in was very smooth. We arrived after dark. The reservation was hanging on the board outside with the name printed and a map with arrows drawn on it to help. The spots were clearly marked with arrows. We saw several staff members and were always greeted with a smile and a wave. The spots were level always a bonus. The trees help protect some sites from the wind. Our spot looked out towards Watson lake so the view was sweet.
