We love to hear from happy campers!
Walter Dean writes; We have stayed before and are considering moving to AZ. This is a great RV park with very helpful staff. I just booked again but wanted to stay about a month but it would only allow booking until the end of Dec. I was asked to call in Oct to book the next 17 days. I just have my fingers crossed no one jumps in on the site we have. With all the great things about this park and a super website you would think there would be a way to manually lock in the balance of a trip. That being said a great place to stay. Update. A few hours ago I gave a 5 Star to Point of Rocks RV park with a comment that I wish they could have extended my stay. It was not meant to be negative and I understand since my reservations were from mid Dec 2022 to mid Jan 2023 the software was not set to book that far in advance. I have had the same issues with flights way in advance. The man I spoke to was outstanding and explained the reason It is apparent that Point of Rocks RV really stay on top of everything. Seeing my comment the manager sprung into action and they called me back to explain they were going make the extended stay happen and adjusted our departure date. Great Work, how can I give 10 STARS? Ron Hildreth writes; Point Of Rocks RV Campground is fantastic. Close to any endeavor or activity you want... from music venues. kayaking, hiking 4 wheeling... and when you're hungry you'll be able to find what your pallet is craving! Additionally it's only 5 miles from historic downtown Prescott.
Linda Meigs writes; Hubby and I stayed at Pt. of Rocks Campground in Prescott, AZ for 6 weeks and we enjoyed our time there very much! The sites are nestled among trees and bushes which add so much to the experience. Also — a few feet from the campground — the Watson Lake Trail leads you in a lovely hike among Prescott’s Dells, a breathtaking rock formation. In addition, the campground’s staff are friendly and helpful. We want to go back soon!
James Kenney writes; We had a great time here for a wknd. The kids loved climbing on the rocks and hiking the trails. Our site was plenty big enough, level, and overall pretty quiet. S/W/E all worked and hookup was a breeze. This park is clean and well maintained.
Deborah Anderson writes; My husband and I are doing a trip in our converted RV van. Point of Rocks was an excellent campground, surrounded by beauty, excellent store with many amenities one might need. Laundry facilities available. The restroom facilities were first class and the staff was friendly. It was quiet and was in a convenient location. We went for a walk and discovered wonderful views. Highly recommend.
Walter D. writes; We have stayed there B/4. It is well kept and staff that make sure they get it right. They have an amazing website not only does it give you details about the site clicking the link you actually see a photo so you see the layout not just a drawing. The staff go out of their way to answer all your questions. The manager just went out of his way to accommodate a scheduling issue and saved us considerable time. You cannot go wrong here and I am sure if you have an issue they will go out of their way to resolve it
Joanna R. writes; I have no idea how this RV park was carved into the rocks in Prescott! It is truly amazing to camp among these giant boulders. There was a view of Prescott from various points and the sunset was amazing!
Amy T. writes; Nice campground to stay at. They personalize your own map and brochure when you stay with them which I thought was a nice touch. We were backed up against the rocks and it was a pretty RV site. There is a short walk to Watson lake where you can rent kayaks and paddleboards, and they bring the kayaks to you. The only downside is the bathrooms are a little outdated and could use some updating.
R Brown writes; Nice overnight stay. But costly. The charge extra for premium sites and then to guarantee the site they charge an additional $15 fee. Grounds were clean and shaded. There was screen between most sites. Some sites are indeed small. We camped at Point of Rocks RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.
O_CBarber writes; This is one of my favorite places to camp. Check in was on-line and super easy , just found our paperwork outside the office and went directly to our site. I like how they give you a customized map with directions to the site. Site was a little close to neighbors but not too bad. We got lots of OTA channels. StarLink worked so well we didn't even try the wifi. Short walk over to Watson lake. Can't wait to go back. We camped at Point of Rocks RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.
Joe Offutt writes; We stayed 2 nights without air conditioning, so it was a bit warm during the day, but the campground is fun. Not level - needed blocks, but spacious. We camped at Point of Rocks RV Campground in a Motorhome.
JN-LV writes; Check-in was easy, pick up site map at the office with detailed directions on how to navigate to your site. Probably the best map Ive seen in the past 3 years. FHU pull through; site was appx 50 feet long, 20 feet wide. Power pedestal good, 120V on both 50A legs; water pressure appx 40psi; sewer connection at the back of the site, so needed 2 hoses to make the connection. Interior roads were gravel and pretty easy to navigate. Site location was dirt. Site was fairly level front to back and left to right. Bath house was clean however is a bit dated. Laundry is available (did not use) but only open a short period during the day. Wi-Fi was good, no streaming allowed. Verizon had strong 5G/4G signal. OTA TV signal was very good with 20 digital channels received. Nice hiking trail to Watson Lake (about .5 miles). Lots of hiking/rock scrambling around the lake. Additional hiking amongst the rocks on the northeast side of the RV park near the picnic area. We camped at Point of Rocks RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
George Drake writes; Our site was tucked away in some trees giving us a semi private location. The park management is making updates and many improvements. I would definitely return to this park. We camped at Point of Rocks RV Campground in a Motorhome.
