A private trail winds directly through the Dells, leading to the scenic shores of Watson Lakean unforgettable experience. Located just minutes from historic downtown Prescott, the campground offers a peaceful, nature-filled retreat with all the convenience of nearby shops and attractions. The RV sites are clean and well-kept, the staff is warm and welcoming, and the setting is nothing short of serene. Whether youre hiking, biking, kayaking, or simply enjoying the incredible views, Point of Rocks is a must-visit destination for RV travelers. Simply put, this is Prescotts best RV campground. Dave Nash writes, December 2024 4/5 stars; The CG is cool if you're in the sites labeled #50 to #86 (up the hill and in the back). The front spots are nothing special with not much "rocks" view. Small CG store up front and the bathrooms were clean and heated which was awesome in December. Gravel spots with the water spicket covered so as not to freeze up during winter which was a great idea. These 37 sites in the back were surrounded by big rock piles a la Joshua Tree National Park in California. There is Watson Lake on the other side of these rock piles and a cool hike around parts of the lake. Liked the vibe here a lot, plus the town of Prescott (make sure to pronounce it "Presscut") was pretty cool to visit. There is a wild peacock we named "Birdie" that roamed sites 57-61 every day, all day. He or she was quite brave when it came to people that's for sure. We camped at Point of Rocks RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.
Kristen & Jeff writes, November 2024 5/5 stars: We loved it here! Bathrooms were not only clean but they were heated, too! Laundry was clean and affordable. Staff was great. Some sites seemed a little close (like their sewer hook up was right next to my picnic table) but overall, a great place to stay. You can bike or walk to Watson Lake where even more trails can be accessed (like to the Granite Dells). This campground is also very close to downtown Prescott restaurants or to restaurants or stores in Prescott Valley. We camped at Point of Rocks RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
W Bloms writes, July 2024 5/5 stars: This park is a great little rv gem. We had a pull thru site (#19), which was right across from the shower house, office and laundry room. Quiet park for the most part. They had kayak and paddle board rentals on site, which was great since the park is next to a lake. The laundry room was super clean, and it was $1.00 for the washer, and $1.00 for the dryer for 45 minutes. Check in was super easy. Lots of spaces, only a few that will fit larger equipment comfortably. Each site had a picnic table, and our site had some shade. All sites are gravel sites, relatively level. We had to do a little leveling on our site, but not much. Staff was always around cleaning the park, and there covered trash bins located throughout the park. Highly recommend this park. We camped at Point of Rocks RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.
Nanci M writes, June 2024 5/5 stars: We absolutely love this campground. Towing a 31ft fifth wheel through narrow dirt roads can be daunting but our site was easy to get in and out of. There are plenty of trees to keep the site shady and it is quiet. The bathrooms are clean and heated, if needed. Liz and Rick were amazing and so helpful. Thank you!! We camped at Point of Rocks RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Ben T writes, November 2024 (5/5 stars): Check in was very smooth. We arrived after dark. The reservation was hanging on the board outside with the name printed and a map with arrows drawn on it to help. The spots were clearly marked with arrows. We saw several staff members and were always greeted with a smile and a wave. The spots were level always a bonus. The trees help protect some sites from the wind. Our spot looked out towards Watson lake so the view was sweet.

Brian KJ writes, April 2025 5/5 stars; Amazing campground with so much to explore and do for everyone! It was quiet and convenient to all of Prescott and Prescott Valley. Unfortunately it snowed while we were there so it kept us inside a bit more than usual but when the sun came out, the kids couldn't stop exploring and climbing. Don't get me wrong, it was absolutely amazing even with a little snow it just made it a bit too cold to sit out and enjoy the night air. We were visiting from California so my only complaint was that it was so far from home - only because it would absolutely be one of our go to regular spots for a weekend trip if not so far. We will definitely stay here again if we are ever in the area!
Monica writes, March 2025 5/5 stars; Magnificent! Beautiful trails right out the door! We rode our e-bikes through the rocks on smooth paths. Right next to the park which is so scenic. Can kayak as well in warmer weather.
Tothetrailsandbeyond writes on Google Reviews, March 2025 5/5 stars; We had a great time camping at Point of Rocks. Our campsite was nice. The trail to Watson Lake right off the campsite was very nice and super convenient. The lake is beautiful! It reminds me of the Alabama Hills with water! So pretty! We had a Bald Egale flying over our heads too! The grounds keeper, Rich was super sweet and very helpful. The bathroom , though a bit on the older side were very clean and warm. The water pressure and temp in the shower was perfect! Thank you!!
Mike Scott writes, January 2025 4/5 stars; Thank you for staying with us, Mike. It looks like you had a great time. Hopefully you got to hike through the Granite Dells or rent a kayak on Watson Lake. Looking forward to your next visit!
Rick W. writes, November 2024 5/5 stars; Spent 4 nights here in November 2024. Grounds are very well maintained. Sites are varied in size - plenty of pull throughs for larger rigs. Owner/operators were on site and were friendly and helpful. We came to Prescott to mountain bike and this park was an easy 15-20 minute drive to most trailheads. Ideal for us. Definitely recommend and I’d stay here again.
Karen writes on Google Reviews, October 2024 5/5 stars; This is our very favorite place to stay in the area. The natural beauty of this camp ground can't be beat! My husband and I try to visit for a week of hiking and exploring every year. The many trail choices right out of the park are so fabulous. My hubby is not as much of a hiker as I am, so it makes it easy for me to either just hike from the park or drive a short distance to other nearby trails on my own while he relaxes. We also love just relaxing outside our coach and taking in the beauty and peacefulness of the park. When we get bored with that it's only a short drive to shopping or downtown Prescott for entertainment and good eats. This year we made sure to watch the fabulous Veterans Day Parade at the Court House. We always marvel at how well run and managed this RV park is. We have not had any problems reaching staff during business hours to discuss arrangements. While they have contactless check-in, the staff is happy during office hours to meet and assist you with anything you need. I really appreciate that they have such great information on their website of activities in the area. It was very thoughtful to make this info easily available. We have met owners and staff during our stays while they performed work in the park and they are very pleasant, friendly and are dedicated to providing a good experience for all guests.
Thank you!
