Spent 3 days at Point of Rocks Campground with my daughter in law and 2 small grandkids for baby girls 4th birthday. Rented an RV and picked this campground and had a wonderful time. The property is well maintained, nice restroom and shower area. The other campers were terrific and helpful as I am a camping novice. Easy hike to Watson lake. Will definitely return again
ChadS wrote Sept 2020, 5/5 Stars; It seems to be a well managed park. Very clean and tidy. Our paperwork was posted on the board when we pulled up and got right into our spot. Watson Lake is right down the trail and leads to a awesome maze of well marked hiking trails around the lake. We camped at Point of Rocks RV Campground in a Motorhome.
Meagan K. wrote a review on December 2020, 5/5 Stars; Stayed there for a week and it was wonderful. Clean facilities, easy to find, with great hiking at Watson Lake next door. Historic downtown was a short drive away, would definitely go back.
Charlene M wrote a review on November 20, 2020, 5/5 Stars; Almost hate to recommend this RV camp for fear it will always be full when I want to stay. This was a great last minute find. Lots of hiking right from camp. Bike, kayak and paddle boarding on nearby Watson Lake. We hiked around the lake. Lots of history in nearby Prescott. Close to a couple casinos also. We had a bit of a time getting ahold of the office to make a reservation. Keep calling if you don't have 24 hours to wait for an answer to an email....they will answer eventually. Everyone is very nice.
Flyer 7. wrote a review September 2020, 5/5 stars: In a word, wonderful. This campground is not a high priced luxury park, but it is really beautiful. The spaces have gravel base that is mostly level (only a minor adjustment needed). The spaces are large, many are very private, and we are surrounded by granite dells. There is a beautiful trail to Watson Lake. This was a great find. I should also add that the people working here are kind, helpful, and made our stay and reservation easy. Really appreciated the high level of customer service. We had the best space in the park but I am reluctant to share it because we like it so much. But in the interest of civility and kindness in a world full of chaos, I will disclose it. 56c.
Kelly N. wrote a review September 2020, 5/5 stars: We camped with my Husbands Brother and sister-in-law. We were able to easily obtain 2 campsites right next to one another. The camp was SUPER clean, as were the showers and restrooms. Our campsite was not your usual cement slab (parking lot), kinda campground. The were lots of trees and each site was fairly private. We LOVED how close the lake (Waston Lake) was to the campground. We walked to the lake almost every evening and let our dog swim in the lake. We will most definitely make Point of Rocks a destination again.
Stephanie wrote a review December 2020, 5/5 Stars; Amazing place, good people. We will be back again and again. Beautiful hiking trail right from the campground is a huge plus! Checked in for 1 night, stayed 3 and made a reservation to return! Definitely recommend!
Kendra wrote a review December 2020, 5/5 Stars; Nice quiet campground. Everyone was respectful and followed the rules. We decided to come back next month because we enjoyed it so much.
Mel wrote a review November 2020, 5/5 Stars; A lovely campground! We really enjoyed our stay at this quiet campground in Prescott. We had full hookups and the wifi was fabulous. The spaces aren’t too close together. Absolutely loved and appreciated their covid precautions. Completely contactless check in and check out. The office is closed. Your reservation was waiting for you upon arrival and you didn’t have to check out in person. They had a bathroom with three showers, which was convenient. The campground is located within walking distance of Watson Lake (and the park). I strongly recommend checking it out! It is so pretty and a great hike. If we’re ever back to this area of Arizona, I’d definitely stay here again.
Dana wrote a review November 2020. 5/5 Stars; Love everything about this place. Have stayed 4 times and will be back many more.
SeaViewFam wrote Nov 2020, 5/5 Stars; Wow this place is in a stunning location within the Granite Dells of Prescott, AZ. Amazing granite formations literally right out of your RV door and hiking trails and also climbing routes and 2 lakes. This is a tighter RV park in terms of parking your rig but once you're in it's easy. Laundry was super clean, due to Covid we didn't use the bathrooms but they were open. Close to any store, restaurant or services you need. Downtown Prescott is not to be missed! Easy launching point to Jerome, Flagstaff, Montezuma's Castle, & Sedona. We camped at Point of Rocks RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.
Kenjr wrote Nov 2020, 5/5 Stars; Nice clean site and great trails. With Covid-19 no real contact with staff. Close to lakes, trails and not far from downtown Prescott. We camped at Point of Rocks RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
John F Adventure wrote a review June 2020, 5/5 stars: We were already in Prescott, Az. And decided to make an unplanned RV Park stay in the area. I was hesitant to call this park but am glad that I did. The girls working the office were very nice and went out of their way to be helpful. The park itself is a bit of a gem. There were rock outcroppings behind our site that were easy to walk up and get a nice view. Lots of trees and you are in the middle of nature. There is even a pathway down to a lake. We did not have time to take the hike but will definitely come back and explore the immediate area some more. The roads were windy and rustic but had no problem navigating our 40' motor home with tow vehicle. Cool little park and not far from downtown... We camped at Point of Rocks RV Campground in a Motorhome.
Customer reviewed August 17, 2020, 5/5 stars: “2nd stay just as great as 1st”We had site 56D the 1st time and 56C this time (deluxe sites). Check-in was as easy as picking up the reservation on the magnetic board out front of the office (closed for Covid). It was extremely quiet except for the rain and hail hitting the roof! We hiked and biked direct from our site and didn't move the truck during the 5 days we were there. We hiked the Watson Lake/Flume trail (6 miles) around the lake and biked the entire Peavine/Iron King rail trails on our gravel bikes (21 miles). The new recreation area by site 56D is almost complete. We enjoy this campground so much we've decided to go every month if we can (only 2½ hours from home). I would recommend the upper deluxe sites for scenery and privacy.
Customer writes September 15, 2019 - 5/5 Stars;"This place is like the best kept secret of Prescott! Very clean and the views are amazing. We felt like there was just enough space in between spaces as well. Not too tight! A short walk will take you to a beautiful lake. No swimming, but highly reccomend a kayak. We will definitely be back! "
Customer writes August 30, 2019 - 5/5 Stars;"Found Point of Rocks via RV Parky app and decided to book it based off the reviews. I called the week prior to arrival for confirmation, but somehow my reservation didn't go through. No problem! The lady I spoke with was more than helpful and I was able to book a premium end site (56C) for $140 for 3 days. The site was large, shaded, level and very quiet with excellent views of the rocks and a walking path right down to Watson Lake. We stayed at the end of April and it was breezy and still chilly at night, but we had no next door neighbor at all during our stay. Fabulous hiking and birding and close to many attractions. Highly recommended!"
