Travis writes November 10 2019 - 4/5 Stars; We wanted to get away for the weekend and get the trailer out. Point of Rocks is a great location for this. It only took us about 2 1/2 hours to get here from the Buckeye area. Full hook ups, lots of trees and rocks and about a 10 min hike to Lake Watson. It’s also about an 8 min car ride to downtown Prescott. The facilities are very clean and the front office staff is very nice and helpful. My only wish is that they had a pool/spa and game room for my teenagers. All in all we really like it here and will be back.

Quadyak writes September 2019 - 4/5 Stars; Nice little campground in a nice area. Very nice walks and hikes right out of the campground in the "Granite Dells". Hike to a Watson Lake over look was real nice. Hike is only about a mile round trip from the campground and pretty easy as far as dirt trails with a minor amount of rock at the end. Nice and scenic rock formations all around. Campground itself is in these same rocks and some of the sites the rocks are right out back of your site and accessible for some nice views. Also a longer hike to Watson lake which we ran out of time for and will do on our next visit. Kayaking was our priority. 4 Lakes for kayaking within 10 miles of the campground with the "Jewel" of the Lakes Watson being less than 2 miles. Once again a nice campground and certainly not a parking lot like others have pointed out. Campground was quiet. Showers, office, some supplies, ice cream and full hook ups available. Good stay.

writes July 2019 - 5/5 Stars; "Spacious, clean, friendly and close to it all yet away from it all! For once I didn't feel like I was in an RV parking lot! Even though I was right above the office area and off 89A - it felt secluded & quiet enough. They did a great job putting in vegetation (if you weren't nestled in the grand rockscapes) to give a bit of privacy between campsites. Only a 5 minute walk to Watson lake, kayak rentals right on site and the bathrooms were the nicest I've seen! Great location just 7 minutes to downtown Prescott, 4 minutes to the airport and Embry Riddle University and of course Wilson and Watson lake are w/in walking distance. The office folks were super friendly, laundry area was clean and nice, books/movies to check out, a few store items if you forgot anything (including ice) and place was very well maintained.

Customer writes November 14, 2019 - 4/5 Stars; This is one of the nicest campground we have stayed at. Yes, gravel and dirt, but with magnificent mountains of beautiful boulders. Watson Lake is a short walk thru the rocks. Lots of trees. The views are wonderful. The owners were so organized and helpful. They provided us with printed sheets of information on everything from local grocery stores to a great dog park. Prescott is is fun town. We will definitely come back.

Customer writes September 15, 2019 - 5/5 Stars;"This place is like the best kept secret of Prescott! Very clean and the views are amazing. We felt like there was just enough space in between spaces as well. Not too tight! A short walk will take you to a beautiful lake. No swimming, but highly reccomend a kayak. We will definitely be back! "

Customer writes August 30, 2019 - 5/5 Stars;"Found Point of Rocks via RV Parky app and decided to book it based off the reviews. I called the week prior to arrival for confirmation, but somehow my reservation didn't go through. No problem! The lady I spoke with was more than helpful and I was able to book a premium end site (56C) for $140 for 3 days. The site was large, shaded, level and very quiet with excellent views of the rocks and a walking path right down to Watson Lake. We stayed at the end of April and it was breezy and still chilly at night, but we had no next door neighbor at all during our stay. Fabulous hiking and birding and close to many attractions. Highly recommended!"

JoAnne Lusk writes November 2019 - 5/5 Stars; Just a beautiful setting on Watson Lake in the Granite Dells. The owners are very friendly and helpful.

Krusty Klown writes November 2019 - 5/5 Stars; I have perhaps stayed in parks with more amenities and nicer layouts, but this one is in a great scenic spot and the WiFi is the best we've had in three and a half weeks on the road. The staff are wonderful too.

Wayne Hudak writes November 2019 - 4/5 Stars; Nice little RV Park within five to ten minutes walk down the trail to Watson Lake. Close to the square just a few miles away. We have stayed there twice and so far it's been good.

Thomas Rosenberger writes October 2019 - 5/5 Stars; This was like camping in a State campground but with full hookups. No pavement and you back up to either large granite rocks or trees. Hiking trails to Lake Watson and park. Laundry. 4-5 miles to downtown Prescott. Uber and Lyft available along with taxi's and rental cars. Kayaks available to rent. Great place.

Sunbirds writes October 2019 - 4.5/5 Stars; Stayed a week, had to move mid-week because I booked too late to get a full week on one site. The person that took my reservation (about a month before my arrival) said he would try to get my booking all on one site, but I don't think he ever really did. Still, I can't fault the park for that. I just didn't expect them to be that busy in mid-October. The one really disappointing thing was that the park claims to be a "dark sky" park, which was partly why I booked it, but it didn't live up to the claim. Not due to the park facilities, but rather to the non-enforcement of the rules about bright lights after dark. On the first site we were on, the 5er next to us left a very bright light on (I think it was the utility light) both day and night for four straight days, so obviously it was never addressed by park management. I also observed two or three campers with bright rope lights around their rigs and the like. So if you're looking for dark sky, don't count on it here. Site 81 was almost completely level, directly across from bath house but it was never a nuisance. Site 58 was not as level side-to-side, but a bit more private; it backed up to the rocks and it was possible to set a chair up to read in privacy behind the coach. Both sites had good water pressure and reliable power. Lots of calcium in the water, a filter is a must. Both sites were easy to back our 40' Class A into with parking alongside the rig, but not long enough to park in front of it. No issues with sewer connection at either site. Neighbor's sewer was a lot more noticeable on 58 than it was on 81. Overall, the setting is really unique and pretty, the location is good for exploring the Prescott area, and the facilities were clean and in good repair. Expect some road dust, as interior roads are sand/gravel. WiFi was actually very good on both sites. Satellite accessibility was also good on both sites. Bath house was kept very clean with plenty of hot water for showers and fairly good water pressure. There is a small camp store but aside from checking in, we didn't go into it. The park is spread out over a couple of levels with sites nestled in among the rocks, giving it a very casual outdoorsy feel. We camped at Point of Rocks RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Admiral writes September 2019 - 5/5 Stars; "This is a pretty rv park nestled in some beautiful rock formations. Our site was large, level and hook ups were good. It was easy to get into and satellite reception was good. There are nice walking trails from the park. We camped at Point of Rocks RV Campground in a Motorhome."

Scott W writes on September 18, 2019 - 5/5 start; "My wife & I took a few days and headed up to Prescott to escape the heat and play at Watson Lake.  We made our reservation several months 'til the kiddies were back in school.  We arrived on 09-15-2019 and stayed for three nights.  Got an e-mail confirmation the moment we reserved our spot and Point of Rocks even accommodated our request to be closer to the restrooms (our Little Guy TAG doesn't have a bathroom). We arrived at check-in on Sunday and checked in at the office out front.  They knew exactly who we were and everything was straight-forward.  They're very well organized unlike some local campgrounds.  There wasn't any of the "Now, who are you guys?  What day are you supposed to be here?  When was this reservation made?  What was your favorite band in the 6th grade?" and on and on and on and on and on... Everything was flawless with check-in and they told us precisely how to get to our spot.

The site numbers are painted in white on large rocks next to the corresponding site. Again, very well organized and laid out exceptionally well.  It is obvious from the moment we checked in that they care about their guests and genuinely want you to have an awesome time!  So after we got set-up at our site, I noticed how spacious each site is at their campground!  We have a little teardrop camper, but there was plenty of room for the camper, parking for our full-size truck AND we still had room for our 10' screen tent!  Our site area was clean AND there was plenty of vegetation / trees surrounding each site that backs up to the rocks which afforded additional privacy to each camper.  There was a fairly large rig next to ours and the adjacent vegetation allowed us plenty of privacy.  I'm not a fan of watching my neighbor grill up his evening hot dogs while I'm reading a book.  Like I said, the sites are very spacious, clean and some of the best we've had the pleasure of camping at!

Our site was a stones throw away from the restrooms as I mentioned previously per our request which they accommodated for us, BUT even if you were at one of the campsites a little further away - it would not have been a very long walk at all.  Their campground accommodates all of the very large big rigs and I suspect most of my neighbors used the bathrooms inside of their rigs (the sites have FULL hook-ups!)  We were in the campground for 3 nights / 4 days and I think I bumped into ONE other person in the men's room at any given point in time.  Speaking of which, the restrooms are very simple, but very clean.  One of the reviewers on Yelp made it a point to say the restrooms need updating.  Perhaps that's the case, but you're not residing at their campground.  Their toilet areas, shower areas and vanity areas are very clean and well cared for.  I'm not about to nit-pick the fact that their shower hardware could use some updating.

All in all, my wife & I had a phenomenal time at Point of Rocks Campground.   There's a little trail from their campground that meanders down to Watson Lake so we did quite a bit of hiking, kayaking, rest and relaxing over the course of the last 4 days. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at their campground and cannot wait to come back and see them again!  Thanks again to everyone at Point of Rocks for making our stay pleasant and memorable!"

SirCharles writes June 9, 2019 - 5/5 Stars; "Trust the other reviews! Level sites, very strong internet. Clean, helpful, convenient to town and lakes. Goos stay!

Polanna writes on April 22, 2019 - 4/5 Stars; "This is the nicest campgrounds in Prescott. We've stayed here many times even in the snow. Friendly staff and clean facilities. Large quiet spaces. The first thing we found out was that this park is no longer a member of Good Sam GSC. When we tried to hook up power we had several problems so they moved us to another site. There's a nice trail to a view site and a trail to Williams Lake. The park is close to Prescott and there are a lot of things to do both in and around Prescott. There are lots of trees, good shade, and decent-sized sites."

The Wally Llama writes on April 22, 2018 - 5/5 Stars; "Took advice of 2nd loop spot and found it to be quite nice and very quiet. Not paved so that needs to be considered but ambience more than offsets the occasional dust created by a vehicle. Has feel of old county park. Actually pretty special."
