sweetaterwatersue wrote a review Aug 2020, 5/5 stars: Spent 3 days at Point of Rocks Campground with my daughter in law and 2 small grandkids for baby girls 4th birthday. Rented an RV and picked this campground and had a wonderful time. The property is well maintained, nice restroom and shower area. The other campers were terrific and helpful as I am a camping novice. Easy hike to Watson lake. Will definitely return again

Barb K wrote a review Jul 2020, 5/5 stars: We stayed one night and had a great time. The campground is very nice and clean and quiet. Good for families. We hiked the trail that went into the hills behind the campground with our dog. He loved it. So many places to explore. The scenery was stunning. We walked around the campground and met many nice people. There were two aggressive, big black dogs that we had to avoid on our walks. The owners were able to control them though. We will definitely come back again. Very enjoyable!

Flyer 7. wrote a review September 2020, 5/5 stars: In a word, wonderful.  This campground is not a high priced luxury park, but it is really beautiful.  The spaces have gravel base that is mostly level (only a minor adjustment needed). The spaces are large, many are very private, and we are surrounded by granite dells.  There is a beautiful trail to Watson Lake. This was a great find. I should also add that the people working here are kind, helpful, and made our stay and reservation easy.  Really appreciated the high level of customer service. We had the best space in the park but I am reluctant to share it because we like it so much. But in the interest of civility and kindness in a world full of chaos, I will disclose it.  56c.

Kelly N. wrote a review September 2020, 5/5 stars: We camped with my Husbands Brother and sister-in-law.  We were able to easily obtain 2 campsites right next to one another. The camp was SUPER clean, as were the showers and restrooms.  Our campsite was not your usual cement slab (parking lot), kinda campground.  The were lots of trees and each site was fairly private.  We LOVED how close the lake (Waston Lake) was to the campground. We walked to the lake almost every evening and let our dog swim in the lake.  We will most definitely make Point of Rocks a destination again.

Jennifer F. wrote a review August 2020, 5/5 stars: A lovely campground that is clean and well maintained.  The staff is kind and helpful, and the park is conveniently located in Prescott.  No, you cannot see Watson Lake, but it is a short hike or drive to it.  The bathrooms are very clean, as well.  Ample trash receptacles (covered, as well, so they do not draw pests).  It is really a lovely place to stay.

Gloria H.  wrote a review July 2020, 5/5 stars: Great place. Spacious sites. Lots of shade!
Near town for shopping for necessities. Within walking distance of Watson lake. Lots of hiking nearby. Canoe and kayak rentals available. This is our second visit and will definitely come again.

Sher Schoepke wrote a review Aug 2020, 5/5 stars: I love this private campground In Prescott. First off, I'm not an RV glamping person. My idea of camping is old school. Having said that, this is my go-to place when kayaking Willow, Watson, and Lynx Lakes. Plenty of hiking, kids can ride their bicycles, and dog friendly. A big plus is the restrooms (with showers) are very, very clean. Enjoy!

Mira Daniels wrote a review Aug 2020, 5/5 stars: Quiet, secluded, shady camping spots with direct access to trail to Watson Lake. We will be back!

Vince Zailo wrote a review June 2020, 5/5 stars: Was awesome as was the last few times we have stayed at point of rocks ,will be back for sure and would recommend to any other fellow campers. Thanks for a great stay.

Bruce wheeler wrote a review June 2020, 5/5 stars: Great place. Right outside of prescott. Surrounded by great climbing rocks. Short walk to the lake.

John F Adventure wrote a review June 2020, 5/5 stars: We were already in Prescott, Az. And decided to make an unplanned RV Park stay in the area. I was hesitant to call this park but am glad that I did. The girls working the office were very nice and went out of their way to be helpful. The park itself is a bit of a gem. There were rock outcroppings behind our site that were easy to walk up and get a nice view. Lots of trees and you are in the middle of nature. There is even a pathway down to a lake. We did not have time to take the hike but will definitely come back and explore the immediate area some more. The roads were windy and rustic but had no problem navigating our 40' motor home with tow vehicle. Cool little park and not far from downtown... We camped at Point of Rocks RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Julesverne wrote a review June 2020, 4/5 stars: Love the area, nice laundry, shower/restroom needs updating, tree trimming needs to be done throughout park, gravel needs to be added to sites...park is terribly dusty! Nice trail to Watson Lake. We camped at Point of Rocks RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

OurBigAdventure wrote a review December 2019, 5/5 stars: Someone recommended this park to us and we are so glad they did! The sites are all dirt so it has more of a camping feel than a resort feel. We put down our carpet to help keep down the dirt inside the RV. We stayed in the upper loop - the sites that back up to the rocks were booked so we got a spot in the middle of the loop. The views are still pretty but those sites that back up to the rocks are the best! We did both hikes from the upper loop: one overlooks the lake and the other takes you down to the lake. The staff is friendly. There is a nice laundry room. The park isn’t far from town. We camped at Point of Rocks RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Customer reviewed August 17, 2020, 5/5 stars: “2nd stay just as great as 1st”We had site 56D the 1st time and 56C this time (deluxe sites). Check-in was as easy as picking up the reservation on the magnetic board out front of the office (closed for Covid). It was extremely quiet except for the rain and hail hitting the roof! We hiked and biked direct from our site and didn't move the truck during the 5 days we were there. We hiked the Watson Lake/Flume trail (6 miles) around the lake and biked the entire Peavine/Iron King rail trails on our gravel bikes (21 miles). The new recreation area by site 56D is almost complete. We enjoy this campground so much we've decided to go every month if we can (only 2½ hours from home). I would recommend the upper deluxe sites for scenery and privacy.

Customer writes September 15, 2019 - 5/5 Stars;"This place is like the best kept secret of Prescott! Very clean and the views are amazing. We felt like there was just enough space in between spaces as well. Not too tight! A short walk will take you to a beautiful lake. No swimming, but highly reccomend a kayak. We will definitely be back! "

Customer writes August 30, 2019 - 5/5 Stars;"Found Point of Rocks via RV Parky app and decided to book it based off the reviews. I called the week prior to arrival for confirmation, but somehow my reservation didn't go through. No problem! The lady I spoke with was more than helpful and I was able to book a premium end site (56C) for $140 for 3 days. The site was large, shaded, level and very quiet with excellent views of the rocks and a walking path right down to Watson Lake. We stayed at the end of April and it was breezy and still chilly at night, but we had no next door neighbor at all during our stay. Fabulous hiking and birding and close to many attractions. Highly recommended!"
